Enlace original ingles ( si no quieres comerte el coco en ingles debajo de la noticia te la explico jejej ):
One of this year’s most highly anticipated games is Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,
the ninth installment in the popular first person shooter franchise.
This game will pick up where Treyarch’s original Black Ops title left
off, and will come out on the 6th of November. That’s not all we know
about Black Ops 2, though—after much anticipation and anxious waiting,
we finally have some details to reveal about the gameplay itself. The
information comes from a memo leaked by Activision—how accurate the
information is, we’re not sure yet, but with so much detail, we’re
pretty sure that these rumors have a strong basis in fact.
One of the highlights is a new game mode called “Escort.” In Escort
mode, the goal is to escort a player (who only has one life) to one or
two areas on a map safely. Escort mode will consist of three modes. The
memo also states that the popular multiplayer modes Drop Zone and Kill
Confirmed will be included in the next installment, but Team Defender
and Infected modes will be dropped.
While the game modes are being updated, we won’t see a lot of change
where pointstreaks are concerned. One thing which has been modified is
the value of objective-based pointstreaks, which has been raised. The
perks associated with the specialist package have been limited somewhat,
but the overall perk system, now dubbed “perk system 2.0,” has received
a major upgrade. Any one perk can now advance to 2 options, each of
which can be unlocked through a different challenge. Once you’ve
selected between the two Perk Pro options, you can only switch to the
other Perk Pro option by entering prestige mode. As an example, the
Speed perk drops the amount of time required to aim down the sight of
your gun. The associated Perk Pro options include the ability to switch
your weapons more quickly or throw equipment more quickly (i.e.
grenades). The controversial “Last Stand” perk and all death streaks
will be removed from the game.
Another example of a new pointstreak reward is the “Heat Scope.” The
Heat Scope is a scope which can be attached to primary weapons not
including shotguns, and which can detect the presence of players hiding
behind walls. This feature was probably introduced in answer to typical
player complaints about camping. Sniper rifles have also now been
modified so that they are more challenging to fire using quickscoping.
Player damage has also been changed. A bullet will do more realistic
damage—a shot to the head or chest may kill a person, while a shot in
the foot will only cause injury. A severely injured person will also
bleed and continue to drop health points. If you bleed enough, you could
die just from the injury. The MOAB and flame thrower will not be
included in Black Ops 2.
A brand new feature called “Item Packages” has also been introduced.
Item Packages will “fall alongside care packages and air drop traps.”
Package items may include ammo, guns, and armor. Other changes discussed
in the memo include prestiges and maps. Prestiges will return to Black
Ops 2, but “there will be 15 prestiges, 50 ranks, every two prestiges
there is a 5 rank increase, and the final prestige has 90 levels.”
Furthermore, the Elite system which will keep track of the prestiges has
received an upgrade and is now known as Elite 2.0. It’ll be easier to
keep track of clan stats and host clan tournaments through the
interface. Map textures on the new game will follow the model of the
first Black Ops game, and not Modern Warfare 3.
We’ll also see a lot more customization of character appearances.
Your character’s appearance will be modified not just by the first perk
you choose, but all of the subsequent perks and pointstreaks. Characters
will look much more unique. Bots are getting a boost too with “Combat
System 2.0.” This system is based on the way the AIs behave in Modern
Warfare 3’s Survival Mode, instead of on the bots used in the original
Black Ops Combat System.
None of this is set in stone yet—and some of it may be mere rumor,
but considering how comprehensive and detailed the info is, it’s
probably accurate for the most part. Many changes could still take place
between now and November 6th. Just from these rumors however, it seems
like we’ve got a lot to look forward to!
